The Details

Deadline To Submit is July 12th Midnight PST

Taking place July 31st-August 1st, 2026 at The Vault in westside PDX in Hillsboro, Oregon Tauraro Festival is the west coasts longest running film festival screening films from, for and by the Black Indigenous and Native, Two Spirit, Trans and Queer experience.

We are not a program inserted into a larger LGBTQ film festival. We are a film festival prioritizing Black Indigenous and Native Two Spirit, GNC, trans and queer film and media making.

We accept all genres including animation and accept all films lengths but prioritize shorts in our programming. Our festival is also open to memoirs and documentaries, however we ask that any documentaries, biographies and memoirs be strongly tied to the greater experience, interest, culture and history of Black Indigenous and Native peoples. Films do not have to be historical or expository. We are looking for compelling films made by and casted with Black and Native trans and queer creatives. We will consider some films from filmmakers of color, outside the Black and Native diaspora.
